Tremendous start to Poets and Passion 2012

Organizers of the 2012 Poets&Passion literary series, say they are encouraged by the response to the three readings held during the program’s first week.

“Tales from Bed-Stuy to Bridgetown, to Burundi,” the works of six writers from five different countries were described as “thrilling.”

“Modest… but moving,” was the way Poets&Passion director E.Wayne McDonald described the series openers. “What was exhilarating was hosting over 150 ‘readers.”’

Monthly readings are scheduled all the way through mid-June and the hosting of the Word Lit Fest, McDonald said.
