The Aaron Diehl trio will be performing a concert at Baruch Performing Arts Center next month.

Made up of jazz pianist Aaron Diehl, and his trio which includes drummer Aaron Kimmel and bassist David Wong, are going to perform “Virtuoso at Play,” — a two-hour show as part of the Milt Hinton Jazz Perspectives Series on March 28.

The jazz master will be playing tunes from his 2015 sophomore project — Space, Time, Continuum, a highly regarded album celebrated for its traditional and experimental sounds.

The eight-track album featured various musicians and singers such as Haitian-American and Grammy award winning singer, Cécile McLorin Salvant. There were also appearances by jazz vocalist Charenee Wade, and instrumentals appearances were from Joe Temperley, Benny Golson, Stephen Riley, and Bruce Harris.

The young Harlem-based composer studied at the Juilliard School. Prior to his recent album, he released his debut album, “The Bespoke Man’s Narrative in 2013.
