Caribbean life rolled the red carpet on Thursday, Nov. 14, to welcome the best and brightest professionals of Caribbean heritage, at the 6th Annual Impact Awards at the Paradise Catering Hall in Brooklyn.

Planned with a cocktail hour, and pre-awards red carpet TV interviews, the evening’s presentation was noting short of outstanding.

Nationals came dressed in the finest attire and danced their way along the red carpet to infectious Caribbean music, before being presented with award plaques from Victoria Schneps, president of Schneps Media, owner of Caribbean Life, and more than 30 other publications.

The elegantly dressed Schneps congratulated the honorees, noting that Schneps Media was thrilled to celebrate Caribbean Americans.

“We are delighted to once again award and shine a spotlight on those who have made New York and the world a better place through their efforts and passion,” she shared.

The event that was emceed by Ruschel Boone of New NY1, a Jamaican-born news reporter, attracted top elected officials, Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams, Thomas DiNapoli, New York State comptroller, and Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte, Robert Cornege, New York City Councilmember, Dr. Una Clarke, and Consul General of Jamaica to New York, Alsion Roach.

Also in attendance were, Josh Schneps, co-publisher of Schneps Media, Associate Publisher, Ralph D’Onofrio, and others.

Honoree Rev. Dr. Wenton Fyne opened the awards gala with a prayer. The National Anthem was sung by Honoree, Angela Cooper.

The spectacular event that was produced by Amanda Tarley and team, donated proceeds from a raffle to Lia Head, president of TheHead.org a hurricane relief foundation. Lucky recipients also took home door prizes from Bartenura / Royal Wines, and ButterMEssential Gift Baskets.

Schneps Media would like to say thanks to honoree, Master Drummer, Menes De Groit, and his ensemble, for the stirring performance that got patrons on their feet. The outstanding group of honorees from many Caribbean countries was also presented with Star pins, and Proclamations from elected officials.

Schneps Media would once again like to say congratulations to all honorees and their families for their support.
