Calling Guyanese, Caribbean actors for Spike Lee’s ‘See you yesterday’

Award-winning movie mogul, Spike Lee, of “She’s Got to Have It” and “School Daze” fame, is seeking African American, Afro-Guyanese, Afro-Caribbean adult male and female, 60 – 70 years old to play the grandparents, lead roles.

English speaking with a Guyanese / Caribbean accent is a must!

Interested persons are invited to provide a recent photo, information on any acting or stage experience (not mandatory, but include if any). age, height, email address and phone number must also be included in information.

Chrystie Street Casting (“The Wolverine,” “John Wick,” Precious,” “The Wrestler,” “The Blacklist,” “Person of Interest,” and many more) asks that information on availability between July – August be noted. A period of 10 days will be needed to complete the process.

Spike Lee is producing the movie along with Matthew Myers. The director is young, talented, Stefon Bristol who successfully co-wrote and directed the short film of the same name, now streaming on HBO.

The Netflix feature is about two Brooklyn teenage prodigies, C.J. Walker and Sebastian Thomas, who build makeshift, time machines to save C.J.’s brother, Calvin, from being wrongfully killed by a police officer.

The movie will be shot on location in Brooklyn.
