West Indies Women ended their dismal tour of New Zealand with another defeat and a comprehensive series loss last Sunday.

With only pride at stake in the final Twenty20 International of the five-match series at Seddon Park after losing three of the previous four, Windies Women once again found themselves outplayed, to go down by seven wickets.

They looked in good shape after they were sent in to bat when Captain Stafanie Taylor smashed 42 and teenager Hayley Matthews, 40. They had an opening stand of 60 off 44 balls.

Deandra Dottin got her first significant score of the series with 33, but the New Zealand bowlers pulled things back to limit the Windies Women to 139 for five off their 20 overs.

Wicketkeeper Katey Martin hit an unbeaten 54 while Amy Satterthwaite struck 43, as New Zealand passed their target in the l7th over for three wickets.

The series was a wretched one for the Windies Women, suffering a whitewash in the three-match ODI series before losing the Twenty20 series 4-0, with the fourth match in Plymouth abandoned without a ball being bowled.
