West Indies senior batsman Darren Bravo has apologized to the President of Cricket West Indies (CWI) Dave Cameron for his offensive remark he tweeted about him.

The president has also apologized saying that Bravo was given an “A” contract.

At the end of all the apologizes, Bravo will now be available to play in all forms of cricket for the West Indies, but he was not named in the 15-member squad to tour England next month.

In Bravo’s tweet last November, he referred to Cameron as a “big idiot.”

Cameron in his apology said: “In early November 2016, I gave an interview to SportsMax TV… In the course of the interview I stated that Darren Bravo had previously been on an “A” contract, which I have since been advised is not correct. I apologize for the misstatement.”

The CWI president said he hopes Bravo returns to both the regional and international game for the West Indies.

Similarly, Bravo’s statement said he regretted his response to Cameron’s error in the interview.

Bravo said he wished to withdraw the inappropriate comment he made on his Twitter account and apologized to the CWI president and to all Windies’ fans. The Trinidadian name could be included on the new round of central contracts to be introduced in October.
