Former West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor has come out of retirement from Test cricket and has indicated he is again available for selection to the regional side.
Taylor 32, who stepped down from Test cricket last July said he was ready to play for the West Indies.
Having played three first class matches for his native Jamaica Scorpions in recent weeks, Taylor could now find himself for selection in the West Indies squad for the three-Test match series against Pakistan to be played in the Caribbean starting from this week.
The Jamaica and West Indies speedster said, “I believe I have a lot of cricket in me and I know I can still offer a lot to West Indies cricket in the Test arena.”
Taylor had suddenly ended his Test career ahead of the four-Test series against India last July, but remained available for selection in the shorter format of the game.
He subsequently turned out for the West Indies in the three-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates last year when the regional side suffered an embarrassing white-wash.
Taylor was among the leading wicket-takers in the Regional Super50 earlier this year with 16 wickets, including a five-wicket haul against Guyana Jaguars at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
