West Indies suffered their heaviest defeat in the three One-Day International (ODI) series to England in the final of the three-match tournament at the Kensington Oval Barbados on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

The regional team suffered a whitewash when they crashed to a 186-run loss in a one-sided series finale.

England won the first two matches at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

They pulled off their first-ever clean sweep of an ODI series in the Caribbean.

Sent in to bat, England equaled their highest-ever total against the West Indies at the historic venue scoring 328 off their allotted 50 overs.

Opener Alex Hales and John Root scored 110 and 101 respectively.

The pair pulled their side from early trouble when Jason Roy was out for 17 in the sixth over with just 27 runs on the board.

Having previously chased a total in excess of 300 to win an ODI, West Indies collapsed for 142 all out off 39.2 overs — narrowly avoiding their lowest-ever venue total of 141, 23 years ago.
