Free, Friday, concerts in Central Park

Despite resistance to a Spring Awakening, the 8th annual Good Morning America Summer Concert Series debuted last week with a rousing reception to 14 weeks of free, music and the first pop act to launch the popular televised morning showcase.

Ariana Grande kicked-off the 2016 season’s outdoor music feast recently delivering a sampling of music’s biggest and best names in the recording industry.

Her performance at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park — home of SummerStage — showcased simultaneously during ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America,” aired live from 7 – 9 am and featured interview segments her fans seemed eager to engage.

The weekly, free, concerts invite guests to share in the revelry and also witness a live broadcast session with a network admittedly dedicated to presenting cutting edge talent in a New York setting.

Often throughout the series, surprise super-stars are billed on unannounced dates. Music fans may want to regularly check for updates on the schedule.
