Team Australia must play their style of cricket and keep the momentum aggressive and hot paced. Australia has about the bet batting lineup for the Twenty 20 World Cup. Adding to that they have the finest all rounders, which would create stability down the order. All rounders Mitchell Marsh, Nathan Coulter-Niles, Shane Watson, James Faulkner and Josh Hazlewood, create the strength of the Aussies squad.
Aaron Finch and Shane Watson are likely to
start the innings for the Aussies. Captain Steve Smith will be coming in at number three followed by the dynamic David Warner. The batting has a tall order with the all rounders and Glenn Maxwell. Pakistani born Usman Khawaga who plays for Australia should find a place in the first game against New Zealand on March 18. He should be placed at number six in the batting order, coming in after Maxwell. Khawaga is a specialist opening batsman, but he can bat in any position.
Captain SSmith will have to be very skillful in his approach during this World Cup. Many pundits of the game prefer all rounder Watson to captain the team in the Twenty20 ICC World Cup because he is much more experienced in this arena than Smith. Watson is a superb Twenty20 cricketer and captain who leads from the front. Smith will be fully tested during this World Cup for his captaincy skills.
Australian batsmen will face their biggest challenge during the 2016 World Cup with spinners. The challenging will be the bowlers from Team India in the likes of Ravinfra Jadega, Yuvraj Singhand Ravichandran Ashwin.
Note: Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sureshraina both have to perform remarkably well for India’s efforts to be boosted.
