Zouks defeat Tridents in Caribbean Premier League

The St. Lucia Zouks surprised the Barbados Tridents in a high scoring match in the Hero Caribbean Premier League. Although the Tridents lead the points table, the Zouks batsmen excelled in fine style reaching 202 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Andre Fletcher scored 77 runs from 50 balls and Kevin Pietersen 73 from 39 balls. Fletcher and Pietersen put together a partnership of 137 runs. The Warner Park spectators in St. Kitts were thrilled.

BARBADOS TRIDENTS SCORE 172 RUNS FOR 7 WICKETS

Captain of the St. Lucia Zouks Darren Sammy picked up 3 wickets for 35 runs. Captain of the Barbados Tridents, Kieron Pollard scored 31, Shoaib Malik 31 and Jason Holder 31.

T&T RED STEEL DEFEATS THE AMAZON WARRIORS

Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 3 wickets. Red Steel scored 124 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs, Kamran Akmal top scored with 30 and Jacques Kallis 20. Degenerate Bishoo picked up 4 wickets for 24 runs.

Guyana Amazon Warriors scored 118 with Lendl Simmons top scoring with 50 from 48 balls. Captain of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel Dwayne Bravo picked up 4 wickets for 18 runs.
