Denesh Ramdin’s captaincy may be soon coming to an end after so many ill decisions that caused the team havoc in almost every aspect of captaincy. Former West Indies Test Captain Darren Sammy was not the best of captains either but he had a clever manner in which he created team unity in pursuit of one common goal.

CHRIS GAYLE MUST RETURN TO TEST CRICKET

Jamaica and West Indies batsman Chris Gayle must return to Test cricket to boost the efforts of the younger players. The West Indies Test Team is inexperienced and team Australia took full advantage by exploiting the weaknesses of certain players. Gayle’s return to the Test arena should rebuild confidence among players and create some concerns for the opposition.

GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS SUFFER SECOND LOSS

Under the captaincy of Denesh Ramdin, the Guyana Amazon Warriors have suffered their second defeat in the Caribbean Premier League losing to the St. Lucia Zouks by two wickets. Zouks batted first and scored 156 runs for 6 wickets from 18 overs at the allotted reduce rate. Opener Johnson Charles scored 47, Andre Fletcher 36 and Darren Sammy 18.

After 18 overs, the Guyana Amazon Warriors fell short of the Zouks score by two runs. Brad Hodge top-scored with 44, Christopher Barnwell 26 and Denesh Ramdin 21. Guyana Amazon Warriors scored 154 runs for 5 wickets.

RED STEEL SCORES 95 RUNS OFF 20 OVERS

Barbados Tridents restricted Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel to 95 runs for 9 wickets. Jason Holder was fantastic with 3 wickets for 11 runs and Sulieman Benn 2 for 24. Barbados Tridents scored 98 runs for 2 wickets from 14 overs with Dwayne Smith scoring 33 runs.

ZOUKS DEFEAT PATRIOTS

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots captained by Marlon Samuels scored 149 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Marlon Samuels scored 52 not out, Devon Thomas 34 and Sohail Janvir 26 not out. Fast bowlers Shannon Gabriel 3 wickets for 19 runs and Fidel Edwards 2 for 29 led the way for the Zouks. St. Lucia Zouks scored 150 runs for 3 wickets off 15.4 overs with Johnson Charles 69 not out and Andre Fletcher 48.

ST. KITTS & NEVIS PATRIOTS UPSET BARBADOS TRIDENTS

The Patriots scored 143 runs for 8 wickets from 20 overs with all rounders Carlos Braithwaite scoring 27 not out.

Barbados Tridents scored 142 runs for 7 wickets as swash-buckling 82 runs for Captain Kieron Pollard and 35 from Shoaib Malik did not save their defeat. The Tridents ran into early trouble at 14 runs for 3 wickets and despite a 93-run partnership between Pollard and Malik, they still fell short.
