After some exciting cricket in the Limacol Caribbean Premier League 2014, the Barbados Tridents captained by Kieron Pollard won the tournament by defeating the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 8 runs via Duckworth Lewis method.

The Guyana Amazon warriors captained by Denesh Ramdin won the toss and the Barbados Tridents were a sked to take first strike. Dwayne Smith swash buckled 59 runs from 52 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes and Shoaib Malik batting at number four scored a valuable 55 not out from 42 balls. For the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Krishmar Santokie took three wickets for 19 runs from 4 overs. Tridents scored 152 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Ramdin, Barnwell cruise to 31 from 21 balls before rain

Before rain stopped play at 101 runs for 4 wickets Lendl Simmons scored 20 from 26 balls, Mohammed Feez 28 for 27 balls and Jimmy Neesham 17 from 17. Rain came when Christopher Barnwell 17 runs from 10 balls and captain Denesh Ramdin 14 from 10. After 15.5 overs at 107 for 4 the Guyana Amazon Warriors needed 56 runs from 25 balls but lost the game by Duckworth Lewis method by 8 runs. Jason Holder picked up 2 for 18 from 4 overs. Most valuable player of the match was Shoaib Malik and the player of the series was Simmons from the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who scored 446 runs in 11 innings.
