Farewell to Third World Reggae leader

It will be 96 degrees in the shade when a final home-going memorial ceremony for William “Bunny Rugs” Clarke re-unite members of reggae super-group Third World. Slated to be held in Kingston, Jamaica on Feb. 24 two separate events will honor the former lead singer who led the super-group since 1976.

Coordinated by former TW keyboardist Michael Ibo Cooper, memorial tributes will reunite former TW drummer Willie Stewart, former TW percussionist Irwin “Carrot” Jarrett and current TW members Richie Daley, Cat Coore, Herbie Harris and current front man A.J. Brown. The memorial will be held at the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Kingston and will be followed by a remembrance ceremony at the Edna Manley School.
