Bishop T.D. Jakes at New York Empowerment Summit 2014

Bishop T.D. Jakes is slated to headline a two day New York Empowerment Summit at Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York on Sunday Nov. 30 and Monday Dec.st. Hosted by Glory of God Christian Center, A Journey Through The Gospel Conference also features a number of Christian heavyweights including Bishop Tudor Bismark, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Dr. Jackie McCullough, Fred Hammond, Tasha Cobbs, Sonnie Badu, Lucy Reyes, Las Reyes Queens, Christian Cultural Center Youth Choir “C3,” the Music Research Lab and Comedian Michael Jr.

Organizer Pastor Joseph Williams says this is the perfect season for this event considering the current state of the church and economy.

“A lot of pastors are frustrated and they need this. What we are trying to do is to remind them they are not alone. They must not allow distractions to get to them. The conference will also encourage the first ladies because if they (first ladies) can lead the women in church successfully, it will bring success all around.”

The purpose of the Journey Through The Gospel Conference is also to bring unity among the churches. Event Mission Statement: Working in the spirit of unity, to fulfill God’s plan.

“This is a non-denominational event. If we can come together as one in unity imagine what we can do. Souls are being lost because of a lack of unity,” said Pastor Williams.

Journey Through The Gospel Conference will take place from 3 pm to 11 pm at Nassau Coliseum on Sunday Nov. 30 and 10 am to 11 pm on Monday Dec. 1. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend a number of workshops, engage in worship, hear a dynamic preached word and even laugh a little. There are opportunities for sponsors and entrepreneurs to market their products and services to thousands attending the two day event.

Pre-Concert Reception, Red Carpet, Ministry Showcase and Networking Event from 3 pm to 5 pm on Monday.
