Cole Facts showcases Summer Rose Collection

Cold Facts designer Michelle Cole continues to amaze us with her talent and innovative sense of how a lady should look and feel when she puts on a piece of garment.

In addition, Cole’s signature use of natural fibers is the hallmark of her delightful body of work. Her Summer Rose collection is a testament to this, as seen in the richness in which she creates whimsical ensembles from cotton and silk.

During a re-launch of Summer Rose at the Brooklyn Lion’s Club Tea Party on Sunday, April 29, Cole welcomed the colorful spring season with this well tailored collection that is overflowing with originality and elegance. She dressed up her models in stunning white outfits adorned with splashes of hue.

The 40-piece ready-to-wear line is detailed and suited to every body type. The eye-popping pieces received loud applause from patrons. From a sexy pair of shorts paired with a sleeveless top, dresses designed with asymmetric hemlines, topless firm-fitting and floor length dresses, to a halter-back mini dress that was worn by my Miss Guyana World 2012, Arti Cameron.

This sexy little dress was designed with a cinched waistline and flair bottom skirt. Cold Facts will no doubt earn a cult following with this line that was accessorized with handbags cut from burlap, and designed with bamboo handles. Flirty floppy headwear also complemented the array of designs.

Guyanese-New York based, Cold Facts, also showed off her cutting-edge swimwear as part of the Summer Rose line. The pieces in metallic were finished with white silk cover-ups. The gents were suave looking in shirts of natural fabric that were finished with the color splash concept.

This line is a fitting tribute to the designer’s daughter for whom it was named. And one that Cole says did not get the attention it deserved during its 2010 launch, due to the birth arrival of her son Omar.

However, she stayed focused on the collection that represents who she is — a lady who wants to walk into a room and be the center of attention. Someone, Cole added, who wants to be admired by others, and who wants to stand out in a crowd.

The stage is now set for Cole Facts to step into the retail market when she opens her showroom sometime in the near future. In the meantime, the line could be viewed by calling 321-442-7631.
