Explore these gems on land and in their incomparable underwater vistas. A cruise ship is more than a means of seeing these islands – it’s a floating island itself.

This famous Italian line features nine ships, sailing all over the world, each appropriately boasting a musical name. However, one of the newest masterpieces cruising the Caribbean is MSC Poesia, which means poetry in Italian. She is truly a poem of the ocean as she sails with powerful majesty across the iridescent Caribbean waters. For many passengers with Caribbean roots, this is a perfect opportunity to revisit their homeland and be proud.

In Fall 2012, Winter, Spring 2013, one has endless choices depending on the variety of islands one chooses.

These islands include: Pointe-a Pitre, Guadeloupe; Fort-de-France, Martinque; Bridgetown, Barbados; St. Thomas, U.S.Virgin Islands; Freeport, Nassau, Bahamas; Kralendijk. Bonaire; Oranjestad, Aruba; Cartagena,Colombia, South America; Cristobal, Panama; Falmouth, Montego Bay, Jamaica; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. John’s, Antigua; Roseau, Dominica; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Roatan Island, Honduras; King’s Wharf, Bermuda.

Unique Cruise Themes Offered

Along with the popular, famed music themes, MSC brings special events as classic comedy, festival at sea, holiday cruises, acrobatic geniuses, Italian, jazz, slow, Latin, easy-listening music, etc. One of the most outstanding is MSC Hall-of-Famers lineup of baseball greats. While the first cries of “play ball” were echoing in fields and diamonds across the nation, fans of the game found unique insight into the national pastime of this popular baseball theme cruise. People fans, admirers from all over the world come to meet these players, get their autographs both on photos and on baseballs purchased aboard, attend clinics, even play baseball with them on an improvised field on deck.

Also another unique great program, Blend Craft Wines, will bring guests special onboard guests winemaking and other wine-themed experiences. A few include:

Winemaker Experience:

Guests create, bottle and label their own custom bottle of wine with the option of creating up to a case of their wine to take home.

Wine Tasting College:

A special designed series of individual 60-minute programs designed to educate guests in the world of wine.

Winemaker Dinner:

Combining the Winemaker Experience with an interactive group dining event, guests make a minimum of two bottles of wine – one to take home and one to share in a blind tasting during the group dinner.

MSC Cruises has positioned itself as the consummate Italian cruise line. It’s a subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Company whose vessels have earned top honors for value and quality among cruise lines.

Although the ship has Italian officers and managerial staff, a great majority of the crew is international, including employees from the Caribbean, hence giving the cruise Italian and international ambiance.

Lasting Memories Of A Perfect Trip

Warmth, friendliness among the staff and passengers radiate. Old friendships are renewed and new ones made. “Friendship is better than gold and special stones,” said the poet Longfellow. Associations made at sea always seem to have lasting qualities. No philosopher gives us the answer, but we believe the enormous expanse of the blue waters, star-studded skies cement these friendships. Many poignant songs are sung by performers and passengers but there is never an “Arrivederci” (goodbye) for the pleasant memories will last forever.
