As the West Indian American Carnival in New York looms, preparations for the the much-anticipated steelband Panorama competition are going full steam ahead. Pan tuners, arrangers and players have been gearing for the big night on the grounds of the Brooklyn Museum.
For the past few weeks, pan yards throughout Brooklyn have been getting into gear as pan-tuners and arrangers, players and enthusiasts have been gathering as the race to the musical fiesta gets off the ground.
