Gloria Lynne will kick off the first annual “Celebrating Legends In Music” Awards Night at Hostos Theater Saturday, June 18 starting at 7:30 p.m.
This event is dedicated to celebrating legendary artists for the many contributions they have made to music and the world.
Celebrating Legends In Music takes a fresh approach on award tribute shows as each event that honors an artist will also present them in concert. The show’s producers boast of celebrity guest presenters and a star studded audience.
The event, which is just in time for Father’s Day, is co-sponsored by Healthfirst, Arizona Tea and Jana Water.
As a premier songstress known for her rich tone and regal manner, Lynne has been proclaimed a national treasure with a career that has spanned more than 60 years of great music.
Some of her popular songs include “I Wish You Love”, “I’m Glad There Is You,” “He Needs Me” and “I Thought About You,” She is the first artist to be listed on the Pop, Jazz, and R&B charts simultaneously.
Hostos Theater in Hostos College is located at 450 Grand Concourse at 149th St., Bronx, N.Y.
