UniWorld Group leads the pack for 2nd year in a row

Multicultural advertising agency UniWorld Group, Inc., (UWG) for the second year in a row won grand prizes in the Best African American Campaign and African American Print Campaign categories at the 11th Annual Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Multicultural Excellence Awards ceremony held last week in Miami, Florida.

ANA recognizes member companies and other marketers for their outstanding work in producing multicultural advertising campaigns. This year, judges gave awards to top campaigns that were insight-driven and delivered a culturally relevant message.

UniWorld Group was recognized for its work with the Ford Motor Company and the United States Marines Corps.

UWG’s award-winning work was rooted in cultural and relevant insights that African American audiences would connect to in an authentic manner.

UWG’s campaign for Ford was titled “Crazy Kevin” and starred comedian Kevin Hart. The commercial features Kevin crashing an outdoor wedding reception with a Ford Explorer packed with gifts—to his family’s dismay.

UWG’s print campaign for the U.S. Marines Corps, titled “Where I’m From,” features personal and heartfelt stories of Marines and transports readers from the printed ad to an online experience complete with video profiles and mapping capabilities for the communities where the Marines live in the United States.

Both award-winning campaigns included TV, digital, print, radio, PR and events components.
