Trinidad and Tobago: St. Vincent and the Grenadines New York Consul General Howie Prince has described as “commendable” and “encouraging” combined efforts to date by the New York Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Consular Corps and the Brooklyn-based Council of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Organizations, U.S.A., Inc. (COSAGO) in gathering relief supplies for Caribbean countries ravaged by recent hurricanes. Comment

St Kitts and Nevis: It’s a care package for the Caribbean. Brooklynites seeking to assist those recovering from hurricanes that devastated the region’s islands last month can now donate supplies locally as part of an initiative debuted by a Kings County state senator on Tuesday. Several community groups united to launch the Caribbean Relief Project, which includes drop-off sites where residents can bring material in order to get them to people struggling in the storms’ aftermath, according to the politician.
