Forget what you think you know about the King of the Dinosaurs. This special exhibition explores the full tyrannosaur story with life-sized reconstructions at various life stages, real fossils and casts, large-scale video projections, hands-on interactives and an exhilarating virtual reality experience that lets visitors work in a group to assemble a T. rex skeleton.

A roaring good time is back at the Bronx Zoo! Take the biggest, most realistic dinosaur ride in America to see 40 life-size animatronic dinos. Learn about species such as T-Rex and Spinosaurus and connections between animals at the zoo and their prehistoric predecessors. Plus, visit the fossil dig area, take photos and more.

Learn about the native plants of Brazil and become inspired plant lovers and designer-artists like Burle Marx. In the Children’s Adventure Garden, kids can pot up a fantastic philodendron plant and design a playful sculpture inspired by the bold colors and geometric shapes used by Marx.

Curious kids explore nature and the Hudson River during this program series at CURB. The day begins with a nature-themed lesson and craft. Families can also participate in seining (fishing with a net) in the afternoon, catching and releasing hundreds of critters.

Then, test your piloting skills and recreate the experience of the very first planetarium program by safely getting your lander down to the Lunar surface.

Celebrate the nocturnal raptor of Jane Yolen’s classic children’s book, "Owl Moon," on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, and compare its special characteristics to those of day hunters, the hawk and falcon. Watch them fly as falconer Brian Bradley demonstrates their special powers.
