The festive season would not be the same without the NOW Production fun-filled children’s Christmas party, that brought cheer and goodwill to kids in 21 District of Brooklyn. NOW Production’s CEO Natasha Wilson, and the Flatbush YMCA, on Dec. 9 hosted its Annual Christmas Party, in the Y’s gym, much to the delight of scores of community children.
The kids, decked out in festive outfits, garnered loud applause as they strutted their little stuff on the runway in the Junior Edition and NOW Production Babies, categories. Additionally, the little merrymakers won prizes for their musical chairs and dance-off competitions.
The more than five hours of Christmas event ensured that every child had his or her candy fix from a very large confection station, where the kids had lots to choose from. They also feasted on favorite cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs and much more.
And to top off the day of fun, popular young artists, Jal-Lani and Nathaniel, sang Christmas Carols to keep the young ones entertained, before Santa Claus arrived with gifts to put a smile on the faces of many of the less fortunate children.
Ms. Wilson who launched NOW Production to promote the talents of children in the community, was later inspired to host events like a Christmas party to give back to under privileged children. She said, as a mother who loves children and enjoys seeing the glee in their eyes, especially those who are under served.
The gift giving, and the gift of giving back, will certainly leave lasting memories for all who attended, and shared in the festive spirit, including parents who won exciting raffle prizes, and feasted on fine fare.
NOW Production is known in the community for its children friendly event. Last year, for the first time, the Easter Bunny entertained kids in Queens, with an Easter egg hunt, friendly competitions, and loads of candy. Students also received school supplies and other goodies.
NOW Production and its CEO wish children and their families everywhere, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
