Charming Chelsey Herrera of Brooklyn, recently captured the Miss Panama U.S. Teen 2011 title from a bevy of teens at the annual Upscale Productions beauty pageant.
The Nazareth Regional High School sophomore, won over the judges with her melodious voice during the singing talent, and dazzled the audience in a purple Cinderella sequin gown, to score the highest points in each category.
Her Panama heritage parents Rolando and Sabrina, who said that Chelsey loves to read, write poetry and draw, praised the beauty.
The 15-year old hasn’t yet decided what she wants to study when she graduates from higher learning, but one thing is for sure, she said she loves to sing.
Chelsey who was presented with a trophy, handed out gifts during a toy drive in the borough, and was interviewed by Pablo TV, as part of her community outreach program.
She will travel to Panama next year to learn more about her heritage, as one of her winning prizes.
