PUMA has offered Jamaica’s sprint superstar Usain Bolt a post to head its Caribbean business once he retires from athletics.

PUMA Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Guiden told a German newspaper during an interview that Bolt could be even more important for the company when he stops running.

“I can even imagine that he could run our business in the Caribbean,” he told the newspaper.

Bolt ran his last race at the 2017 London Olympics where he ended his gold medal winning streak (eight) with a bronze medal.

Guiden has previously said Bolt, who has been sponsored by Puma since he was 15, could be just as valuable for the brand off the track, adding he would have more time for product development.

Bolt, 31 said recently he was looking forward to a new chapter. He intends to stay close to athletics and is eyeing some sort of a roving ambassador role, inspiring the world’s youth to get involved in a sport he said is on the up after reaching “rock bottom” with the Russian dope crisis two years go.
