Digicel has declared Bolt its Chief Speed Officer (CSO) after winning an unprecedented three consecutive championships to cement his place in history as one of the world’s greatest sprinter.

Bolt won gold in the 100m and 200m as well as the 4×100 meter relay in three successive games to finish with nine gold medals end a magnificent Olympic career.

The telecommunications company said in a release, “the unique ‘job for life’ comes in tandem with the agreement of a lifetime partnership between Digicel and Usain Bolt — an honor only a very small number of the absolute greatest athletes in the world have ever achieved — and a first for Digicel.”

“Bolt relationship with Digicel dates back to when he was a teenager competing in schools games in Jamaica”, the release added.

“As Digicel CSO, I am opening a new chapter and will be making it my mission to ensure that speed stays at the top of the agenda,” Bolt replied.
