Young entrepreneur starts transportation company
Tawana St.Paul

The techniques and dreams that are sometimes repressed into our unconscious can in fact become a part of our consciousness and lives if the hunches are followed. This premonition was how it all began for a 10-year-old immigrant girl from the island of Grenada, West Indies. Tawana St. Paul knew immediately she wanted to own a taxi and limousine company from the moment she stepped into a luxurious cab for the first time in New York City.

“I liked the luxury feeling, and I always have an entrepreneurial vision,” the now bubbling 26-year-old business professional stated. To some people that gut feeling might have been dismissed. However, for this young girl, intuition is the first step she will use to follow her dreams.

Tawana, is a young business entrepreneur who attended the Mahalia Jackson Middle school and later Medgar Evers College high school, in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. Her vigor, self motivation and strong support from family, including her mother, Ms. Sophie St. Paul, who is a New York City school teacher helped propel her and set the part for making the decision to attend The City University of New York to pursue an undergraduate degree in arts and architecture.

While at City University, a twist of fate had St. Paul moving in another direction after the first two years in college, “so many people in college were dying around me, even my best friend died; I left college and went into the ministry of the Brooklyn Assemblies of God.” This time around St. Paul’s family did not support her, and although strongly spiritual, Tawana left the ministry and went back to her childhood dream and started working with one of the City’s biggest transportation companies in Brooklyn. Her tenure at this company was a five-year one. This experience helped triggered her entrepreneurial drive again, wanting to own her own limousine and taxi company.

Tawana also saw the high productivity level within this company. “Sales increased and after seeing the volume of funds and the way the industry operates I know I wanted my own company,” St. Paul echoed. Tawana found time to attend the transportation training classes at the CUNY Continuing Education Program in Queens, New York, by participating and completing the program.

St. Paul is the chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of All Access Transportation Group, Inc. in Brooklyn since 2013. “I really want to bring luxury in the transportation industry. Affordable and clean transportation, a well dressed driver,” St. Paul noted. All Access Transportation will do the business in the most unusual places, but direct attention is to the airports, corporate America and logistic care — non emergency medical visits.

She does not magnify the obstacles she faces at anytime and does not object to any new ideas that will help move All Access Transportation Group to a more established level. she is in the preliminary stages of making this a global business. This industry Ms. St. Paul noted can work well in the Caribbean tourism sector.

St. Paul honors hospitality and is always serving and managing parishioners in the ministry. A community oriented persons who wants to work with battered women as well. “The business also helps me to manage the church and manage other community projects better,” St. Paul added. Her other aspiration also is to one day become the first female prime minister of the island of Grenada.

The entrepreuner would tell you she always believed that All Access Transportation Group, Inc. would materialize. She realized her dream and now at 26-years-old is the youngest female in the transportation industry. She is hard on herself as she truly believes that she can do a lot more in her life, “I have always wanted to work with battered women as well,” Tawana said. She has three staffed employees among them an aunt and several freelance workers associated with All Access Transportation. St. Paul will explain and listen only for the possibilities for her business, but also quietly mentioned that the only time fear creeps in, for her as a young Caribbean woman, is while negotiating the business for All Access Transportation Group, Inc. Adding in the interim that the fear however, will never stop her from doing what she must.
