NPF’s Phantazia String Players is an ensemble that exemplifies NPF’s mission to increase the social mobility of students from some of the most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Participating music students are given intensive music instruction, high-profile performance opportunities and school placement assistance.

A full schedule of community performances offers young musicians opportunities to access new environments, become more engaged in their communities, as well as the chance for Bedford Stuyvesant residents to experience live string music.

Public performances are a crucial element to the programs offered by the Noel Pointer Foundation in that it inspires and informs students, who are approaching adulthood, to become more active members of the community.
