Film Showing — Eyes on the Prize: The March on Washington. This award-winning documentary excerpt will be screened to mark the 50th anniversary of the historic civil rights mobilization and Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have A Dream” speech at 7:30 p.m. Special commentary by James Wright, former SCLS organizer, Civil Rights historian and D.C. 37 union activist. Program will feature a dramatic reading of SNCC Chairman John Lewis’ censored speech from the 1963 march. Come mobilize for the Anniversary March on Washington on Aug. 24.
