The Boca Secondary School Alumni Association, New Jersey chapter, will continue its commitment to academic excellence in the St. George Grenada Boca Secondary School, through its fundraising programs that have in the past raised much needed capital to foster education programs and extra curricular activities.

As such, the organization has planned a Wine Tasting event for Saturday, June 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Patrons will enjoy wine tasting, a silent auction, live acoustic music, and a complimentary bottle of wine, at Grape Beginnings Hands-On Winery, located at 151 Industrial Way East, Building B, in Eatontown, New Jersey.

President Vondra Niles-Haynes noted that this event marks the recognition of the BSSAA, NJ Chapter accomplishments throughout the years, and in preparation for the upcoming Boca Secondary School 35th Year celebration and reunion, planned for later this year.

Members are committed to raising awareness through fundraising activities, accomplishments and future scope, in an effort to give back to Boca Secondary School and its community, said Niles-Haynes who named a scholarship program for select graduating students who will attend the local T.A. Marryshow Community College.

In addition, the students are provided with school supplies and outfitted with uniforms and sports equipment. The students are also inspired through educational trips to St. George’s University.

The Alumni also facilitated the entry of Boca Secondary School into the International Peace Quilt Project at the 2012 Olympics – one of the many ways the students are expose to social activities internationally.

A donation of $80.00 is suggested to attend the Wine Tasting Benefit. Call Vonda 856-974-0228, Meschdia 914-258-7611, and Yolande 917-952-1732 for more information. www.bocasecondary.com
