Lion’s Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner

The men and women of Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club collaborated with Hope City Empowerment Center, which is led by Bradley Backus, Esq., to help 307 men and women celebrate Thanksgiving in fine style on Nov. 21.

Hope City Empowerment Center, a pillar in the Crown Heights Community, has provided much-needed essential services to thousands of men and women daily. Known throughout the borough as a haven for those who have the greatest need in the Brooklyn community, Hope City once again lived up to its name – providing Hope!

The outreach is just one of the many projects Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club has embraced since its founding. From the monthly feeding program in partnership with God’s Battalion of Prayer Church in Brooklyn, New York, to the Club’s ongoing working relationship with Lighthouse International in Manhattan to identify children – within the community the Club operates and serves – who lack access to proper vision care and on-going resources.

In keeping with Lions Clubs International’s motto “We Serve,” the men and women of Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club lived up to that motto today. On hand to assist the members of Brooklyn Metropolis Lions Club, were members of Kings County Lions Club, Beulah Church of the Nazarene, a host of personal friends and relatives.
