Regional Super50 Tournament

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) recently announced that the Regional Super50 Tournament has been awarded to Trinidad and Tobago for three years. This follows a commitment from the government of Trinidad and Tobago through the Ministry of Tourism to play a major role in the execution of the tournament during the period 2014 to 2016.

The 2014 edition of the tournament will be played from Jan. 30 to Feb. 16 in Trinidad and Tobago with two matches to be played in Tobago. All the other matches will be day/night fixtures.

President of the WICB, Whycliffe ‘Dave’ Cameron said he was delighted to have critical support of the government of Trinidad and Tobago. “We are delighted and thankful to have the commitment of the government of Trinidad and Tobago for the Regional Super50.

Meanwhile, The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has announced a 15-man Test squad for the tour of India, starting next month.

West Indies will play two Tests, from Nov. 6-10 and from Nov. 14-18, as well as three one-dayers on Nov. 21, 24 and 27 at venues to be announced.

A WICB spokesman has been quoted as saying that the participation of left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell is subject to him being passed as fit by a medical panel.
