FUN SKILLS CLINIC

On Sunday, June 24 Monroe baseball coaches Luis Melendez and Francis Santos ran a fun skills clinic for the kids of the Grand Councourse Little League in Tremont Park in the Bronx. More than fifty players ages 5-17 were schooled in fielding, basrunning, pitching, and hitting by the Mustang experts. The event was part of the college’s 80-year commitment to supporting important community endeavors. News 12 reports on the Monroe baseball clinic

“It was an opportunity for us to come out and reiterate the importance of an education through sports,” Coach Melendez said. “We want the kids to excel in their respective sports but never lose sight of the importance of getting a good education.”

In addition to the clinic, the Mustangs presented the little league with a gift card so that they can purchase some much-needed equipment.
