Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. gathered Saturday, May 21 at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza to celebrate their Annual May Week event.

May Week is the Sorority’s demonstration of the many established programs that Deltas conduct to enhance the lives of others through community service. The Plaza was thronged with shoppers and walkers enjoying a rare sunny Saturday and stopping at the tables to learn about the various programs that the Deltas run.

Brooklyn Chapter’s Health Committee provided HIV, diabetes and high blood pressure screenings. The Social Action Committee registered voters while School America distributed books with a goal of increasing an appreciation for reading among our young boys and girls.
