Del.icio.usWest Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will undergo surgery in Australia to repair his damaged right knee, which put him out of the World Cup taking place in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Bravo said he will remain in Australia for about a month after his surgery to continue his recovery from the injury.
He sustained the injury while delivering the first ball of his third over against South Africa in the West Indies opening match of the World Cup.
He had to he helped off the field by West Indies Captain Darren Sammy and team physiotherapist CJ Clarke.
Bravo is the last of three players West Indies have had sidelined during the World Cup. Opening batsman Adrian Barath and wicketkeeper/batsman Carlton Baugh returned home recently to nurse hamstring injuries even before the tournament started.
