Into the Abyss (Unrated) Werner Herzog directed this death row documentary based on a series of interviews with relatives of the victims of a triple murder as well as the killer, a week before the 28-year-old condemned man was scheduled to fry.
Melancholia (R for sexuality, profanity and graphic nudity) Denmark’s Lars von Trier directs this apocalyptic adventure about a couple of squabbling sisters (Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg) who put their sibling rivalry on hold when a fast-approaching rogue planet threatens to collide with Earth.
