WICB pledges greater efficiency

The West Indies Cricket Board has pledged to become more efficient, which is the aim of the new administration.

President of the WICB Julian Hunte met recently with the staff of the board to outline to them the new corporate culture that the regional governing body hopes to assume over the next year.

“Coming rather soon, the WICB will consider the report of the study being concluded by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and arising out of that it will allow us to finally put together a comprehensive strategic plan for the WICB,” Hunte said.

“With a comprehensive strategic plan in place (the directors) and those coming in future will understand what he or she needs to do to take West Indies cricket to the next level,” he said.

Hunte added: “The directors are very serious about the new paradigm that the WICB need to take in order to move forward.

Hunte urged the staff to strive for higher levels of efficiency, as the WICB tries to bring more stability to West Indies cricket.

“We have brought new staff on board in order that we can ensure that we can deliver a quality product,” he said.
