Miss Black New York & New Jersey

Nicole Stanley was crowned Miss Black New Jersey USA 2011 while Michelle Mbekeani was crowned Miss Black New York USA 2011 during.the Miss Black New York USA and Miss Black New Jersey USA 2011 Pageant at Harlem Stage at Aaron Davis Hall in New York City on Sunday.

The event was hosted by Dee Vazquez, and this year’s celebrity judge panel featured Naturi Naughton, Robin Wilson, Dominique Sharpton, and Shaila Scott, 98.7 KISS-FM’s Midday Café radio host.

This year’s event showcased nine stellar Miss Candidates. The title holders of Miss Black New York and Miss Black New Jersey will each receive the official state crown and sash, $2,500 towards their college tuition, official photo shoot, “Perfect Smile Package” which includes cosmetic consultation, smile enhancement, teeth whitening and Invisalign treatment presented by Dr. Dawn Jones-Sylla of The Madison Avenue Dental Associates. They will also receive a round-trip air fare to the National Pageant where they will have a chance to win $20,000 and complimentary gifts and prizes.

The organization also crowned Shantelle Jones as Miss Black New Jersey Talented Teen and Leocardie Delva as Miss Black New York Talented Teen and awarded each $1,500.
