Joseph Lee Gugliucciello 90, of Greenwich Village, New York, passed away on November 18, 2014 in Harvey Cedars, NJ surrounded by his family. Joseph was born in Manhattan, New York to Henry and Virginia Gugliucciello on May 17, 1924. He worked for the New York City DSNY for 37 years. In addition, he served in World War II as a Navy Sea Bee. He received two Asiatic Theater Pacific Ribbons (the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon) & two Letters of Commendation. Joseph is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Gugliucciello of Greenwich Village, NY; his sons Ronald of Somers, NY and Roger of Clifton, NJ; his daughter-in-laws Nancy Sue and Patricia; his grandchildren Joseph, Shane, TaraLee, Veronique & Bevin-Casey; great-grand daughter Adrianna; & caregivers Maria and Kelly. Visitation will be held at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ was held on Fri Nov 21st from 5-9 pm. Funeral mass was held at St. Thomas Church in Surf City on Long Beach Island, on Sat Nov 22nd at 10:30am. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. The Lower Eastside Service Center, Inc. (LESC), is soliciting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from General Contractors for a single prime construction contract at their occupied facility located at 7 Gouverneur Slip East, New York NY. The scope of work includes but it’s not limited to the following: Local Law 11 Façade and Parapet repairs; Terra Cotta Restoration; Roof Replacements; Asbestos Abatement; Sidewalk Repairs; HVAC &MEP work. Project is non-prevailing wage & non-union; NYC DOB permitted; Exterior scaffolding and Hoist required; Occupied Facility. The estimated construction value is between $4.2–4.4million. Projected duration is 18 months. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms must submit Expression of Interest (EOI) packages to demonstrate their experience in the following sequence: Tab1-Documentation of a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in similar work and a list of five (5) projects which have been completed, or substantially completed, with in the last ten (10) years. For each project, provide: design firm and contact person, project location/facility, a brief description of the project, total construction cost, and construction start and substantial completion date. Tab2-three (3) samples of project schedules utilized for previous projects. Tab3-The table of contents of the firm’s written Safety Program. Tab4-The firm’s Experience Modification Rate (Worker’s Compensation Board-EMR Rating). Tab5-Bonding Capacity (single and aggregate). Tab6-acompleted NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire (VRQ). LOCATION WHERE EOI PACKAGES TO BE DELIVERED: Four(4)copies of the EOI shall be submitted to the architect of record, Amman & Whitney, attention: Matthew C. Salerno, AIA, LEED AP at 96 Morton Street New York, NY 10014. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: EOI packages will be reviewed and firms deemed qualified from this solicitation will be included on a short list and asked to respond to a Request for Proposal (BID) in the near future. This is not an invitation to Bid; it is a request for Expressions of Interest. Firms not following the EOI package requirements as noted shall be considered non-responsive.
